Job Description

Bevel is looking for an Investor Relations Senior Associate or Associate Director to join our quickly growing New York office. Bevel’s Investor Relations Advisory Practice focuses on assisting private funds with (1) full-scale IR programs and (2) counsel-based engagement for specific high-profile mandates such as IPOs and SPAC launches.  For counsel-based engagements such as an IPO or SPAC launch, the new Investor Relations hire will support the boards and management teams of our clients with communication between the client and its investor community for the duration of the mandate. This candidate will be responsible for advising on corporate messaging, reviewing and providing feedback on investor materials and other communications, and help support handling inquiries and meetings involving the client’s investor community.  For our full-scale IR programs serving private funds, the candidate will support the fund in the development of pre-marketing/marketing plans and materials, respond to investor diligence requests including RFPs, due diligence questionnaires and follow-up requests, and assist with fundraising activities including providing competitor information, prospect pipeline and maintain a working knowledge of relevant fund governing documents. Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Comfortably counsels client 1x1 
  • Consistently and proactively anticipates client needs and engages accordingly
  • Drafts client memos outlining recommendations with little to no oversight
  • Clearly and confidently presents to clients during meetings, client calls, and through concise, efficient email communication
  • Identifies and leverages key trends in capital markets, corporate governance, and peer trends to inform client strategies
  • Comfortable as the public-facing contact for initial inquiries from investors and outside parties
  • Drafts investor call scripts with little to no oversight, with the ability to iterate on drafts directly with the client
  • Prepares informed, thoughtful Q&A and leads mock simulations with clients for investor calls and presentations
  • Ability to both execute and supervise the process of uploading, reviewing/editing, and distributing investor press releases
  • Coordination and logistics of client events, onsite meetings, webinar events, investor conferences 
  • Answer investor questions on behalf of clients; prepare DDQ and RFP responses for investors
  • Create targeted investor/prospect lists for clients and provide pre-meeting investor data or stats
  • Support fundraising activities including the preparation of pre-marketing/materials, offering memorandum, competitor information, prospect pipeline and maintain a working knowledge of relevant fund governing documents
  • Source and analyze industry research related to fundraising or supporting data around fundraising strategy and rationale

Job Qualifications

Required Skills/Desired Characteristics:
  • 5+ years of experience in Finance, Corporate Communications, Business, or related fields, with a strong preference for candidates with an expertise in Investor Relations
